Location and Desciption

Ngorongoro Sopa Lodge is perched on the eastern rim of the Ngorongoro Crater, in the volcanic highlands of Tanzania, covering an area of 240 sq kilometers. The lodge is 170 km from Arusha town, approximately 4 hours drive and 40 minutes by air, with another 45 minutes transfer from the airstrip to the lodge.

On the Selous banks of the Rufiji River, directly in front of the sunset at a point where the ample and tranquil river is animated by many and different species of animals, lies the Rufiji River Camp.

Perched on the rim of the Ngorongoro Crater at 7,500 feet above sea level (with a 2,000 feet sheer drop down to the crater floor), with spectacular and unsurpassed views over the crater's great bowl.
