Duration: 10 Days

This safari begins and ends in Arusha.
4x4 Land Cruiser and Land Rover are used for this safari. Day 1: Arusha to Mto wa Mbu
Enjoy a half-day hike. Starting from the market to the Papyrus lake and along the foot of the Great Rift Valley, passing the Njoro springs and Balla Hill. Dinner and overnight at Lake Manyara Lodge.

Day 2: Lake Manyara to Serengeti
After breakfast, depart for Serengeti. Game drive en route in Serengeti. Late afternoon game drive, dinner and overnight at Seronera Campsite.

Day 3: Serengeti – Olduvai Gorge – Ngorongoro
Sunset game drive until 11h00 and stop for brunch. After brunch, depart for famous historical sight of Olduvai Gorge for a tour of the excavation site of early man. Proceed to Ngorongoro for dinner and overnight at Simba Campsite.

Day 4: Ngorongoro – Nainokanoka Village
Early breakfast and descend into the Ngorongoro Crater for a game drive. Later in the day drive to Nainokanoka Village for dinner and overnight.

Day 5: Nainokanoka Village – Bulati
After breakfast, you will visit Olmoti Crater and waterfalls passing Embulmbulu Impression. Dinner and overnight at Dorobo Campsite.

Day 6: Bulati – Empakai Crater
After breakfast visit the Bulati Primary school, and later proceed to the Maasai Bomas for a short cultural tour. After picnic lunch walk to the rim of Empakai crater for dinner and overnight at Nyika Campsite.

Day 7: Empakai Crater
After breakfast descend down to the Empakai Crater with picnic lunch boxes. Walking the crater for the full day. Later in the afternoon ascend. Dinner and overnight at Nyika Campsite.

Day 8: Emankai to Accacia via Naiyobi
After breakfast visit the Maasai villages. Picnic lunch. Dinner and overnight Acacia Campsite.

Day 9: Accacia to Kamakia
After breakfast pass the Mauongoni Hills down to the base of the live Volcanic Mountain – Mount Oldonyo Lengia and to Kakakia Campsite. Later in the afternoon visit the the waterfalls of the Ngaresero River.

Day 10: Kamakia – Mt. Oldonyo Lengai
Start to ascend around 01h00 to reach the summit by sunrise. Then descend to the base and drive back to campsite for breakfast. After a short rest, you will drive to Lake Natron with picnic lunch or return to Arusha.

- This trip can be taken at any time with 2 or more people.

- Days 2 to 4 are game safari using 4x4 vehicles. Day 1 and 5 to 10 are hiking using campsites. Tents, food provisions etc are transported by Donkey. Campsites are basic.
