Lake Manyara Tree Lodge is perched in the heart of a mahogany forest, and is the only lodge in the diverse Lake Manyara National Park in northern Tanzania. Lake Manyara is Tanzania’s smallest park, it covers two thirds of the park while the rest of the Mara ecosystem consists of steep mountainside, swamps, dense woodlands, open grassy areas and hot springs. and is with no doubt one of most diverse national park in Tanzania. Lake Manyara National Park is in Arusha, the lake is an alkaline and is famous for its population of flamingoes.
Accommodation Lake Manyara Tree Lodge offers 10 spacious tree houses which are built on stilts in the boughs of ancient mahogany trees, discreetly tucked away in the forest. Lake Manyara Tree Lodge tree houses have been crafted from local timber and makuti (palm fronds) and feature large open decks and spacious rooms with large windows to invite the flourishing forest into the luxurious elegance of each room. The interiors of Lake Manyara Tree Lodge tree houses are a sumptuous combination of natural fibers, pure cotton linen and contemporary furnishings. The bedroom consists of four-poster bed-like drapings and earthy, understated accessories in natural colors and textures. Overhead fans and mosquito nets as well as en suite bathrooms with baths and large twin hand basins ensure that every comfort is attended to. There is an exhilarating outdoor shower while the private verandas have comfortable furniture and offer extensive views of the lovely forest environment. Dining & Cuisine At Lake Manyara Tree Lodge meals are enjoyed in the open-air boma, the dining area, on the decks in the guest area or on the guests' private viewing decks. Breakfasts and picnics are also savored on the lake shore.Guests have the opportunity to to interact with the staff in the kitchen and prepare delicious Pan-African cuisine.
