Olakira Camp is a mobile tented camp that moves through the Serengeti, following the Great Migration, one of the world's natural wonders. The camp is in Ndutu from 10 December until the end of March, the magical period during which the Great Migration takes over the Ndutu plains to give birth to their next generation. It moves up to the central Serengeti for the months of June and July, when the Migration is in this area. In these months, Olakira Camp can be combined with a balloon flight in the central Serengeti. From August 1 to November 30, the camp is in Soit Sambu, an exclusive concession in the north-eastern part of the Serengeti eco-system, just outside the Serengeti and very close to the Klein's Gate. The Serengeti hosts the largest concentration of wildlife in the world, thought to be more than 3 million, and is home to one of the great wonders in the world, the Great Migration. Over a million of wildebeest move annually from the southern plains, where they give birth, to the Masai Mara in the north, and back, accompanied by Zebra and other migratory mammals. Lion, cheetah, hyena, hunting dog and crocodiles make sure only the strongest survive. Accommodation Olakira Camp has 8 luxury mobile tents with comfortable beds and bathroom facilities. The guest tents are spacious and comfortable with large king-size or twin beds and convenient bathrooms. Each tent has its own spacious private verandah with a private view overlooking the Serengeti Pains. Bathrooms are very comfortable for a mobile camp, having a shower, a wash basin and an environmentally friendly toilet, using water and environmentally friendly chemicals. • The Olakira Camp is mobile between 3 locations in the Serengeti, following the Migration: - Central Serengeti (Seronera): June 1 to July 31 - North-eastern Serengeti (Soit Sambu concession just outside the Serengeti in northern Loliondo): August 1 to November 30 Dining & Cuisine Central to the Olakira camp are two common tents that are open to the surrounding nature. When multiple small groups occupy the camp, one tent will serve as a dining tent and the other one as a lounge, where drinks are served and safari stories are shared. When a somewhat larger group (e.g., 8 people) visits in the camp, one of the common tents can be made the exclusive lounging/dining tent for that group. The other tent will then be set up as a lounging/dining tent for the other guests of the camp. Superb tasty meals are served in the dining tent or in a private location: your own veranda or under the Serengeti stars. Activities
