Serengeti Sopa Lodge is superbly located in Serengeti plains. The lodge is perched in the acacia woodland on the edge of the escarpment overlooking the plains of the south-western Serengeti National Park , one of the most famous parks in the world, and host to the largest and most spectacular annual migration of the wildebeest. Serengeti Sopa Lodge is located approximately 315Kms from Arusha, approximately 7.5 hours drive, and 50 minutes flight with 45 minutes drive from the nearest airstrip. Serengeti Sopa Lodge is a hillside lodge in a tranquil oasis set in over 14,000 sq kms (5,000 sq miles) of National Park. The Serengeti plains are host to a dramatic annual migration of hundreds of thousands of wildebeest and numerous other species of animals indigenous to the area.

Accommodation

Serengeti Sopa Lodge offers 69 standard rooms, all with 2 queen size beds, carpeted, and tastefully furnished with local fabrics and pictures. Each room has a private lounge, a mini bar, a bedroom, an en-suite bathroom with shaver sockets and a hair dryer, and a private verandah with 2 comfortable chairs and coffee table, with glass windows facing the vast Serengeti plains which extend as far as the naked eye can see. One of these rooms are suitable for the physically handicapped.

Dining & Cuisine

At Serengeti Sopa lodge, the meals are served in the main restaurant and are prepared in international and local Tanzania flavors by professionally trained chefs. The dining room has superb bay windows overlooking the park with spectacular views from the hilltop. Behind the buffet area is a shimmering blue placement, like a glass mosaic, adding on to the theme.
